Sunset. I like sunrises but they happen too early in the day for me.

I was just thinking about this last night. I think most people would say sunset, because they see it more often, but then again, that makes seeing sunrise more special. Personally, I prefer twilight, either before sunrise or after sunset. I like the blue-grey color of the light.

Sunrise! especially if you are in nature, watching all manners of creatures come alive makes you feel alive.

Ditto! I love seeing foxes going home after a hard night hunting

Sunset. If I ever see a sunrise, itโs from the wrong end and my night has either been terrible or exhausting.

Sunrise. Visually there isnโt too much between them, but the optimism of looking at a sunrise with the whole day in front of you edges out the melancholy of the day being over.

I prefer watching sunrises in terms of sheer aesthetics, but sunsets are also nice and more conducive to my schedule. If I see a sunrise, itโs usually because Iโm obligated to get up far earlier than I want to. They are beautiful and a beginning rather than an end โ they are just indicative of a long, tiring day.

Sunset, especially from a looking point above a town. Listening as the creatures of the day start to settle down, watching the early lights flick on as others flick off. The slow settling of people on their way to the nests of their own.
And then it flows into the twinkling of stars, and the silvered light of the moon. Harsh bright light giving way to softer reflections as an unseen world comes alive.

Depends on whether I have to ride my bike at it, but in general sunrise. Itโs more dramatic, for one, and usually means Iโve been partying all night which is always a good thing.

Sunrise. Itโs not hot out yet and the bugs arenโt as obnoxious.

Sunrise. Saw one over a blanket of clouds on a trans-Pacific flight and it was damn near life changing. I also like cooler air temps.
Sadly Iโm not usually awake at that hour.

sunset. The fireflies coupled with the colors of the sunset are great here in the Midwest. then, if you add in a bonfire and the fact that stars will shine and the cooling night it all adds up to a good time

Sunset. A million times sunset. Like it is nowhere even close. Sunrise sucks. Itโs miserable to see. Itโs this cool moment but then you can even savor it. You have to go do your duties for the day. Sunset is chill. It is a spiritual moment that can lead into more relaxed activities instead of just going to work or something lol.

Depends where I am living. Where I am right now, the Sun sets over a lake, but it doesnโt rise above a mountain until late morning after all the orangy greatness is gone.

Sunrise feels more special. Almost everyone sees the sunset every day without really trying. You have to put in effort to see the sunrise. Even if that effort is just having to get up for work at 5am.

Sunrise inspires hope. A new day. A new opportunity to make a difference.
