Follow hashtags via RSS feeds

I use RSS feeds to follow hashtags on other instances. If you want to comment on or like a post, you have to copy the link into the Hubzilla search field in order to be able to do this. In my opinion, it would be a considerable relief if there was a button in the comment menu, for example, to open the link directly in Hubzilla. What do you think?

Yes, exactly this icon:

It has the same effect as entering the URL to a Fediverse posting in the Hubzilla search.

Why not ask @SK or take a look at the source code...

@SK I think that is what confused me. It also displays when you look at the post at /display when not logged in. And, at least on your website, when you clicked on it, it would open the search but not find anything.

Maybe you should also check to see if someone is logged in, because I don't think this link is useful for people who are just browsing your website.

By the way, except for the navigation and specific templates, Neuhub Tab uses the default templates in /view/tpl for most things. So if this was added to the core templates (which Redbasic uses), it would also be added to Neuhub Tab.

Now that you mention it, there's an issue with following RSS feeds of Mastodon hashtag searches on Hubzilla.

Normally, you can copy the link to the original into Hubzilla's search and then import the original post and interact with it. So far, so good.

But if the original comes from certain sources, including but not limited to Misskey and its various forks, Hubzilla thinks the post as imported via RSS feed is the original. Copy the link, paste it into the search, and Hubzilla will take you to the same copy from the RSS feed again. Try whatever you want, you won't get the original onto your stream because the RSS copy always takes precedence, and Hubzilla takes the RSS copy for the original. In fact, Hubzilla will show the RSS copy as the start post of a conversation and fetch and show comments on that post under the RSS copy.

This is bad because the RSS copy doesn't allow for certain kinds of interaction.
