dev version isn't working for me right now

not asking for help, just a remark that things aren't working as smooth as they usually do using the dev version of hubzilla.

i don't have time to debug now, find out what exactly goes wrong, but when i use the latest dev neither my network- nor any of the other pages (personal posts, etc.) finish loading. eternally spinning spinner, but the web server doesn't show frenzied activity. restarting webserver (nginx), MySQL and PHP doesn't solve the problem.

    remove redundant var

to get things working again.

this happened earlier once, and waiting for a week or so, then pulling the latest dev solved the problem. intending the same approach because i don't see myself finding the time to start debugging for real in the near future.

@phani00 (hubzilla) you should probably use redbasic if you are on dev. Other themes might not yet be compatible with dev...

@Mario Vavti yes, with thread conversation "on" everything works fine. but only using redbasic theme.

@Mario Vavti now it works, with threaded conversation set to "no." but only with redbasic theme; 'adminlte' still doesn't.

@phani00 (hubzilla) adminlte is built to be compatible with the stable version. Keeping it up-to-date with dev branch would require regularly following the repo and tracking changes which is a bit difficult to do so I keep it compatible with the stable branch. Hope this clears things up.

@SK yes, that's perfectly fine. i don't 'demand' anything to be compatible with dev. i just had switched to adminlte some time back and only recently i noticed that things stopped working. no fault of you, of course!

how comes i don't see those parent arrows when on my channel, but here on hubzilla.org they're there? is there some setting i'm not aware of?

@SK Of course, this means that either new stable releases would have to be announced several days in advance for theme developers to catch up and release new versions before new Hubzilla releases, or their themes risk becoming incompatible with new Hubzilla releases so that everyone who doesn't use Redbasic will have to switch back to Redbasic until their preferred theme has caught up.
